Mortha server rules

version 3

By creating an account you accept the rules below. They are short and come down to one thing: play so that others still want to play too. The staff decides disputed cases and may apply a penalty at its own judgement.

1. Conduct

  • 1.1 Do not insult other players. Abuse, threats and slurs are punished, private channels included.
  • 1.2 Zero tolerance for racist content, sexual content involving minors, and incitement to violence. That is an immediate and permanent ban, without warning.
  • 1.3 Do not impersonate staff. A character name suggesting a GM, an admin or support will be changed and the account punished.
  • 1.4 Character names must be acceptable to everyone: no profanity, no advertising of other servers, no political references.
  • 1.5 Spam, advertising other servers and out-of-game trading (selling accounts, items or gold for real money) are forbidden.

2. Bugs and exploits

  • 2.1 Using a bug for your own gain is a PERMANENT BAN, and anything gained that way - items, gold, experience - is removed. This includes duplicating items, reaching places you cannot reach normally, and walking through walls.
  • 2.2 Finding a bug is NOT an offence - hiding it is. You are required to report every bug you notice.
  • 2.3 Report bugs in game with Ctrl+R. Describe what happened and how to repeat it - "something is broken" cannot be checked.
  • 2.4 A confirmed bug report earns you 20 points on your account. Reporting the same bug twice is not rewarded.
  • 2.5 Report a serious bug instead of using it and you can expect a larger reward. Use it first and report later - you cannot.

3. Software and automation

  • 3.1 The bot built into our client is ALLOWED. Mana training, auto haste and auto light are normal use of the client.
  • 3.2 External programs are FORBIDDEN. Levelling bots, scripts that walk for you, hardware macros and memory readers get the account banned.
  • 3.3 The difference is simple: our client will not play for you. It does not walk the map and does not pick targets - you still play the game.
  • 3.4 Multi-client is ALLOWED. You may run several game windows at once, and our client is built for it.
  • 3.5 Using client bugs or network delay for an advantage (deliberate disconnects in combat, lag switching) is forbidden.

4. The AI assistant in the Help channel

  • 4.1 The Help channel is answered by an AI assistant. It is there for everyone and its resources are shared and limited - hence the delay between questions and the daily question limit per account.
  • 4.2 A message sent before the delay has passed, or after your daily limit is used up, WILL NOT APPEAR in the channel. You will see the reason in the middle of your screen.
  • 4.3 Deliberately flooding the assistant - pushing on after being told your limit is gone, or repeating the same question over and over - results in a 24 hour mute in the Help channel. The mute covers the account AND the IP address, so a new account does not avoid it.
  • 4.4 The assistant is for questions about Mortha only. Trying to get anything else out of it - especially instructions for weapons, explosives or drugs, breaking into someone else's account, or sexual content - is abuse of the assistant.
  • 4.5 The penalty for abusing the assistant escalates: a warning the first time, 24 hours the second, 3 days the third, permanent the fourth.
  • 4.6 Such messages never appear in the channel and never reach the model, but they are recorded together with the character name, account number and IP address, and go into the staff report.

5. Your account

  • 5.1 The account owner answers for everything that happens on it. If you lent your account to someone who broke the rules, the penalty lands on your account.
  • 5.2 Never share your password. Staff will NEVER ask for it - any such request is an attempted scam.
  • 5.3 Accounts and characters belong to the server. They cannot be sold or traded for real money.
  • 5.4 An account banned for breaking the rules loses its points along with the rest of its progress. Purchases, complaints and withdrawal are covered in "Purchases and payments" below.

6. Penalties

  • 6.1 The penalty matches the offence: from a warning and a mute, through a temporary account block, to a permanent ban.
  • 6.2 Exploiting bugs, scamming and forbidden content are a permanent ban on the first offence.
  • 6.3 You may appeal - write to [email protected] or on our Discord. Where possible the appeal is handled by someone other than the person who issued the penalty.
  • 6.4 Evading a ban (new account, different IP) extends the penalty and covers the new account as well.

7. Purchases and payments

  • 7.1 Seller: Cezary Trojanowski, VAT ID 9671443692, Tucholska 7, 85-165 Bydgoszcz, Poland. Contact for purchases, payments and complaints: [email protected].
  • 7.2 What you buy are premium points - digital content used only inside the game Mortha. They have no value outside the game and cannot be exchanged back into money.
  • 7.3 Prices are listed on the "Donate" page in Polish zloty and include all taxes. Buyers must be adults, or minors with consent from a guardian.
  • 7.4 Points are credited automatically once the payment provider confirms the transfer - usually within seconds, at the latest within 24 hours. If they have not arrived by then, file a complaint.
  • 7.5 Complaints go to [email protected]. Include your game account number, the date and the amount. We answer within 14 days. If a paid service was not delivered, we refund it the same way the payment arrived.
  • 7.6 You may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. By ordering you agree to immediate delivery of the points and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal expires once they are delivered.
  • 7.7 The Mortha staff is the controller of the personal data given at purchase. It is processed only to complete the order, for accounting and for complaints. You may access, correct or erase your data - write to [email protected].

8. Final notes

  • 8.1 These rules may change. Important changes are announced on the front page and on Discord.
  • 8.2 The server is a hobby project and payments cover the cost of running it. We do not promise uninterrupted uptime, but we are liable for paid services on the terms in "Purchases and payments".
  • 8.3 Anything not covered here is decided by the staff, using common sense and the good of the community.
